WFMW- How I organize my purses

This week WFMW theme is asking for some organization tips. I usually get all geeked up about organizing something only to have it be thrown in a pile a couple of months later. :( This tip however has been nice, neat and functional for years now, so I thought I was safe to share this one!

Fulfilling my duty as a woman, I have a stash of purses. Blue, black, brown, carmel, white, dress purses, casual purses, jean purses, purses you can stash alot in. You name it I got it. Its not that I buy alot of purses.... its that I never throw one away. :)

Purses take up alot of room so I wanted to keep them visible while still getting them neat and in one place. This is what I came up with.

I got some deep but narrow containers on sale. I them marked them Black, Brown and dressy/white. I can simply pull the container down and find the purse that I need. Its so easy and manageable and saves time!!

And that works for this busy mama!!!

Happy Monday !!! $$1 coffee on Mondays

Sometimes you just want a good cup of coffee........ that you didn't have to brew with a toddler hanging off of your leg. :) With the high prices of gourmet coffee however, I just can't justify it most of the time.

Then my hubby came home one morning with a big Caribou Coffee cup in his hand. Before I could even arch my eyebrow he informed me that Caribou coffee has a great deal on Mondays!

Every Monday, get a medium cup of Caribou Blend coffee for just a dollar !!!

Go here for the closest location near you.

Now if they would just throw in a babysitter and house cleaner, Mondays would be perfect :)

Happy Monday Y'all!!!!

A Teachers View: Healthy Hands

I am blessed to live next to a elementary school teacher who loves my kids and we love her!! She has multiple education degrees and is the first person I run to when I am worried about speech, development or anything learning related!! She has agreed to write a weekly post for me on some common concerns involving little ones and just great tips! If you have a topic that you would like to see addressed, please e-mail me at everythingmom@live.com.

Healthy Hands

As cold and flu season approaches, there is one sure-fire way to reduce the amount of germs in your child’s world: Wash hands!

With a new school year starting, help your child develop good hand-washing habits.

· Wash for at least 15 seconds with soap and water. Have kids sing the ABC’s. I usually sing the following ditty to my 4th and 5th graders; they are so busy laughing at me that they don’t even notice time has gone by. Feel free to use it with your kids!

To the tune of “Row, Row Your Boat”
Wash, wash, wash your hands, get them nice and clean! Get the fronts and the backs and the spaces in between!

· Turn the faucet off with a paper towel. Many schools have motion sinks, yea!

· Alcohol-based hand rub is also effective. If your kiddo is a packer, stash some in their lunch box.

· Wash hands often throughout the day.

· Always wash hands after using the bathroom, after you cough or sneeze, and before eating.

Our school has recess before lunch, so remind kids they need to wash after recess too!

Here’s to a healthy school year!
