A GREAT deal at Target this week!

I am slowly moving my daughter in with my son....that means combining toys, books and clothes. No easy feat, I tell ya!

I have had my eye on a toy organizer for her side of the room at Target but absolutely refuse to pay the full price of $69.99!!

This week I found it on sale at my Target for $38 !!!! I found that this is even cheaper than other stores that have similar cheaply made toy bins.

Just wanted to share with my girlfriends in case clutter is creeping up on you too :)

It seems like the calls are coming more abundantly.

The preschool teacher wants to know if we can all bring in cookies. ( Along with the church, ladies meetings, neighbors gifts...you get the idea!)

I love baking and often do it from scratch because I enjoy it. If you do not enjoy it however, its not much of a blessing. :) ((Or if like me, you are overwhelmed with cookie request.))

The thought of making homemade sugar, butter or cream cheese cutouts makes me tired.

I tried it out at home and the cookies are delicious. :)

Tomorrow night I just happen to have a date night lined up with my love :) We have a gift certificate for a nice dinner out. (In which I will not have to tell anyone "no", cut any small chunks of food and actually get to eat my food while its hot. Imagine that!!)

We lined up the babysitter a week ago so I was thrilled to find a code for a free Redbox movie. (Good in Columbus Ohio only.) Now we get to do dinner and movie for free...am I a cheap date or what!!

In case you are not familiar with Red Box's they look like large pop machines in the front of stores. You run your credit card and they charge you .99 a day. ((I just love getting a movie for .99 since you can't get out of a video store for less than $5 anymore!!)) Really though, what is better than free?!?!

Toy Alert!!

Every year I try to tell my girlfriends about the deals find for Christmas! (Yes, I said Christmas. I am a big believer in buying great deals when I see them and stocking them away!!) Not only do you save a ton of money but there is almost NO money spent at my house in the month of December. Its a blessing.

So girlfriend....here you go. Target has started to put A TON of toys in every single aisle on sale. Some up to 75% off. I went down each and every aisle and found super deals in almost every aisle. (There was also some toys on sale in seasonal department.) Here are some toys that were on clearance at my Target:

I am not sure if it is just my target or not but I know each summer they start to get rid of a majority of their toys to make way for the "new" fall toys. I have found that the toys just have new packaging...in which makes its way to the floor in thirty seconds anyway!

My finds this Thursday

I had the opportunity to visit Dollar Tree today. OH MY!!

I know that sometimes I go to the dollar stores and find a bunch of nothing but today..woohoo!!

I would want my girlfriend to share some great deals with me ...so here you go, girlfriend!

Water noodles- perfect for the pool season that will be here before you know it.

Garden items- gloves, spades stakes, wire...you name it!

Pots- I was really impressed with wire hanging baskets and coconut liners. (These can be so expensive at garden shops!)

Lanterns- They have the cutest paper lanterns for the patio.

Lunchables- I found a wide selection of lunchables in the fridge section.

Kids shovels and rakes- I don't know about your kidlets but mine always want to "help". We always have a hard time finding these...especially in the fall.

Outdoor eating wear- A wide variety of plates, cups, and these adorable ice cream bowels.

They have water in them so you can keep them in the freezer and they keep the ice cream cold.

Wouldn't it be cute to have a ice cream social for a kids birthday party? Then each guest could take one of these home with them?

I also spied these great large popcorn containers.

While we have these at home already, my warped mind instantly thought of Christmas. Coaches, teachers, friends, neighbors and hairdressers. All those people that you always wonder what to get. Put a large box of microwave popcorn, some boxes of candy, a gift certificate to Blockbuster or other video stores, a couple of coffee mugs, homemade tea or cocoa and homemade cookies.

Very cost effective!

My finds at Odd Lots

Just wanted to let y'all know that I went to Odd Lots today. (All by myself!! I am still amazed at how much I can get done without little ones.)

Anywho, they have their Easter stuff out and OH MY the prices were awesome!

I got the most adorable Peter Rabbit chocolate bunny for $2 and my son a race car rabbit for $2. They also have many Easter basket fillers for a great price..something to think about :)

I also got a great coupon for 20% my entire order all day Sunday. Its their friend and family day.

Happy Monday !!! $$1 coffee on Mondays

Sometimes you just want a good cup of coffee........ that you didn't have to brew with a toddler hanging off of your leg. :) With the high prices of gourmet coffee however, I just can't justify it most of the time.

Then my hubby came home one morning with a big Caribou Coffee cup in his hand. Before I could even arch my eyebrow he informed me that Caribou coffee has a great deal on Mondays!

Every Monday, get a medium cup of Caribou Blend coffee for just a dollar !!!

Mama knows best- Christmas now!

We as mamas have to be innovative and thrifty all in the same beat. Somehow we find new ways of doing things that save us money, time and maybe if we are really blessed.... sanity!

I know its hot and your kidlets are running around in their bathing suits. I should be writing about an awesome iced tea or cool lemon aide. Being the freaky freak I am, I have decided to write some tips on Christmas shopping.

Oh you heard me right sister! Would you believe that I am almost done Christmas shopping? It sounds totally ridicules but I already feel less stress concerning the holidays. I can bake more with my kids and shop less. My pocket book also will thank me when I don't have to spend a HUGE lump sum in one month!

OK.... ARE YOU READY FOR THE BEST MAMA KNOWS BEST THIS YEAR??

The end of July, August and September are the best months to toy shop for your kids.

A Target employee told me last year that in preparation for the upcoming holiday stock they start to clearance almost all their toys to make room!! That adds up to just a ton of savings for you!!

* Start in the toy isle and look for special clearance or red tag deals.

*Make sure you hit the end racks at the back of the isle. (This is where they are alot!!)

* Find the special clearance section. Many stores such as Wal-Mart has a separate Clearance section. Ask a rep where yours is. (I found a ton of toys in my Wal-mart area for $5!!)

* Every time you shop just glance at the selection because it will change!

If you pick up a couple toys, books or games that are on clearance every time you shop you will be done a whole lot quicker than you think! Your pocket book will not be hit all at once and you will enjoy the holidays more!!!

I love my pediatrician. I mean I loooooovvvvvveeeeeee him. He loves my babies like his own and showers them with songs and hugs. On top of all that he is a grocery bargain shopper. Can it get any better?!?!

He told me something very interesting at this weeks appointment. ( Am I the only mama that feels like I am at the pediatrician multiple times.... a week ? )
