Meijer Bargain Recipe of the week- Marinating Chicken

Bargain Meal of the Week

The weather is starting to get warm here which means one thing.... grilling! With Chicken being on sale, we have taken this opportunity to start grilling again. I thought I would share my own chicken marinade which is so easy and cheap! Not much of a recipe but once you have it you will never by store bought marinade again! Happy Eating!

Summers Chicken Marinade

1 cup Light Italian dressing (Use the Kraft coupon on the isle tearpad for $1.50 off) .50

1/4 cup Soy sauce

3 Tbs cup lemon/lime juice

1 lb chicken ( On sale $1.99 a lb) $1.99

You don't actually have to use measurements for this recipe! I just shake the dressing on the chicken followed by the soy sauce and lemon juice and then flip chicken and repeat. It only needs to marinate for about 30 minutes. ( I told you it was quick and easy!)

Total cost of this meal: $2.49

Add veggies (Birdseye steam fresh veggies on sale $1.50) Total cost of Meal: $3.99

Add veggies and biscuits ( Pillsbury Grands on sale $1.25 w/c- .65) Total cost of Meal: $4.64
